Clemens Vonrhein
Clemens Vonrhein studied chemistry at the Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany and did a PhD in the group of Georg Schulz in Biochemistry and structural biology - during which the interest in software developments for X-Ray crystallography was kindled. This lead to him to join Global Phasing (Cambridge, UK) in 1998 to get involved in methods ranging from data processing and structure solution by experimental phasing right up to model refinement, ligand detection and handling of restraints and model validation. He is the main author of the autoPROC (data processing) and autoSHARP (experimental phasing), contributes regularly to the BUSTER refinement package and is a regular speaker and tutor at crystallographic workshops around the world.
