Yifat studies autoimmune disorders at the Weizmann Institute of Science and uses post-translational modification (PTM) profiling to uncover PTM signatures and targets of relevance to malignant tumors. Yifat has developed a method called mass spectrometry analysis of proteolytic peptides (MAPP) for generating patient-specific signatures of protein breakdown in cells and tissues. Yifat has received numerous awards for her scholastic and academic excellence and is also listed as a co-inventor for several patent pending applications for proteomics techniques.
