Dr. Suman Datta
Stinson Chair Professor of Nanotechnology at the University of Notre Dame
Receiving a Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati in 1999, Suman is currently Stinson Professor of Nanotechnology–directing research at the Nanoelectronic Devices Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame, Indiana. Suman explores new materials, novel nanofabrication techniques, new classical, and non-classical device structures for complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) “enhancement” as well as for CMOS “replacement” for future energy efficient, high performance, and fault-tolerant information processing systems.
Dr. Ralph Dammel

Ralph has been involved in chip development for over 30 years. Gaining a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the J. W. Goethe University in Frankfurt in 1986, Ralph was Chief Technology Officer for AZ Electronic Materials until its takeover by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in 2014. Currently a Research Fellow for the Electronics business at Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany, Ralph has authored over 200 scientific papers in chemistry and microlithography and is an inventor for over 100 patent families in the field.
