Anissa is Director of our Bioprocessing Strategy Operationalization group and is passionate about democratizing biomanufacturing in emerging markets, particularly in Africa. She joined Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in 2009 and has contributed to several collaborations within the industry in the field of viral safety, vaccines, and gene therapy. Anissa is a biotech engineer by training and holds a PhD degree in molecular and cellular biology combined with biochemistry and biotechnology from the Universities of Strasbourg and Thessaly (Greece).

Stefan holds a PhD in sciences from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and holds an executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Instituto de Empresa (IE, Madrid).
