Advancing Digital Living Sustainably

Artificial intelligence and new technologies are set to transform our daily lives. As this digital transformation plays an increasingly important role in more areas, the demand for cutting-edge computer chips and greater computing power is rising. Consequently, there is also an increasing need for energy, materials, and resources.

As a supplier to the semiconductor and display industries, we enable digital progress through our research and development, as well as our materials and solutions. Our goal is to make this transformation as sustainable as possible. We focus on innovation, collaboration, and more sustainable processes.

Our Approach to a More Sustainable Electronics Industry

Innovation

With our extensive experience and outstanding expertise in materials science, we are making a difference. Sustainability criteria are an integral part of our research and development as we identify and develop new material solutions for the electronics industry. This includes efforts to reduce emissions, utilize resources more efficiently, minimize waste, and help make chips more energy-efficient.

Collaboration

The entire supply chain in the semiconductor and display industries needs to work together more closely to achieve even more together. The interdependencies are too significant, and the value chains are too complex for any one company to reach sustainability goals alone. Through transparency, trust, and openness, partnerships offer new and deeper opportunities to establish more sustainable solutions on a larger scale.

Sustainable Processes

We are acutely aware of our special responsibility at the beginning of the value chain. We have set ambitious sustainability goals to minimize the ecological footprint of our own production processes. Whether in Europe, the USA, or Asia, we are pushing projects for wind and solar energy to increase the share of renewable energy. Additionally, we continuously optimize our processes to use resources more efficiently, reduce waste, strengthen circular approaches, localize transportation where possible, and cut emissions.
