As part of our 350th anniversary celebrations, we are challenging innovators in the field of prediabetes / diabetes prevention to share their ideas with us. Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany will provide funding for the most innovative ideas with the goal of helping people at risk of type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes is one of today’s most alarming global public health challenges . If trends continue, the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) projects that 693 million people will be living with type 2 diabetes by 2045, a disease burden that will severely impact future healthcare resources . That’s why we are supporting prevention-focused initiatives and technologies aimed at lowering the incidence of type 2 diabetes globally.
We are curious to hear about innovative technology and digitally-driven solutions that can make a positive impact on the lives of millions of people at risk of type 2 diabetes.
If you have an innovation that is up to the challenge, send us a detailed description of your idea. Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany will (at its own discretion) award prizes of EUR 30,000, EUR 10,000, and EUR 5,000 to the three most innovative projects.
